6 Simple Machines
1 - Levers
Miss T got us some new Kitchen Equipment for our playhouse!
We also got some exciting games to develop our Fine Motor Skills!
Justin is working at the office - typing up notes and writing things down.
Nathaniel and Rhys made some cool transformers.
We are copying the pictures and making some interesting machines!
Maui built a boat that has a pincer underneath to collect the stones on the ocean floor.
Our first Simple Machine is the Lever. We went hunting inside the classroom and outside to find things that could work as a lever.
We learned about how a Toaster works. You have to press the lever down to heat up the bread. Then the lever jumps up and toast pops out of the toaster!
We made toast using the toaster. We have learned how the toaster works, so we had to give it a go for real!
We found a Praying Mantis - he's been hanging around Rm 15 since the start of term. We decided to adopt him into our class. His name is Bolt Lightning!
